The city of Brainerd has a new city administrator and he takes over August 3rd. The Brainerd City Council in a special meeting Thursday approved a contract with Jim Thoreen for the open city administrator position. Last Monday the city council approved the terms of the contract offer it would send to Thoreen. In an email Thursday, Thoreen agreed to the contract and will take over August 3rd.
