Morrison County, townships announce implementation of permit process for placement of manure force main in road right-of-way

[/title][fusion_text]Thursday, March 10th 2016

Morrison County announced they will implement a permit process for placement of manure force main when in county road right of ways. During the recent legislative session a new provision was added to a Minnesota statue, authorizing road authorities to permit the placement of pressurized flexible force main used for the transport of manure for field application within its right of way. The applicant must be a property owner or occupant of property abutting the road right of way. No pumping equipment is allowed in the right of way. The road authority can also establish other terms and conditions that need to be met as part of the permit. Property owners or occupants of property who will be utilizing a force main to transport in Morrison County can contact the Morrison County Public Works office at 632-0121 or your township clerk for an application to permit this use.
