State and county officials will respond to a simulated emergency at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant today. The exercise will test the capabilities of local agencies to respond to a nuclear emergency. The test will include the Department of Public Safety, Sherburne and Wright County Sheriff’s Offices, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and more. Residents near the plant should not be alarmed by activity from emergency responders.
