A 22-month-old boy from southeast St. Cloud died in September from multiple blunt-force injuries. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner said Billy Rebel Chapman died shortly after 2:00am on September 1st at Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Complications of an ischemic right cerebral infarct killed Chapman, the report said. The examiner said blunt-force injuries caused the deadly blood blockage, and the manner of death was homicide. A release from the St. Cloud Police Department said,  in August, officers responded to a medical call that Chapman had fallen. Chapman was transported to St. Cloud Hospital where it was determined he suffered substantial head trauma. He was then taken to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, where he later died. The release said the death is still under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit, but no further information is currently available.
