A motorcycle rider from Becker was declared dead at the scene of a crash Monday evening in Waite Park. The accident happened around 6:15pm where officers found a victim, 23-year old Jesse Nelson of Becker in the roadway. First aid was attempted, but Nelson was declared dead. Witnesses to the crash reported Nelson was traveling at a high rate of speed when the motorcycle clipped the corner of a car traveling on Seventh Street South, left the roadway, hit a driveway approach, lost control and crashed. Nelson was not wearing a helmet. No one else was injured.
