The family of Sartell native Tommy Bearson held a charity golf tournament in his honor Saturday in Sartell. It was in an effort to give back to the community for the last few months for help in investigating their son’s death. Tommy Bearson was found dead last September in Moorhead. He was a freshman at North Dakota State University in Fargo. Police to this day have no suspects in custody but said the investigation into Bearson’s death which was ruled a homicide by the medical examiner does continue. The monies raised Saturday are to help increase security at colleges and universities and give to youth basketball programs which Tommy was involved in.
