The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting a death investigation in Rockwood Estates mobile home park in Rice. Around 1:00pm Wednesday a call was received at the Benton County Sheriff’s Office indicating that an adult female at a residence in the mobile home park required medical attention for a gunshot wound. Law enforcement officers, first responders, and paramedics responded to the residence. The victim was eventually pronounced dead at the scene. The Benton County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the cause of the victim’s death. The information received at this point indicates that there is no danger to the general public. The identify of the woman has not been released. Anyone with information about this crime or the suspects is asked to contact the Benton County Sheriff’s Office at (320) 968-7201.
