A trailer pulled by a pickup struck a bicyclist early Friday in Buffalo. 18-year old Tyler Amy of St. Michael was driving south on Wright County Road 35. He stopped at a red light just before 7:00am at Minnesota Highway 55. The bicyclist 40-year old Cari Backes of Buffalo was waiting for the light at the crosswalk. Amy started to turn the vehicle right on red, then the traffic light changed to green. Backes began to cross the road, and the trailer behind the pickup struck her. Backes suffered non life threatening injuries. No alcohol was detected on either party, which did not injure Amy.
