Central Minnesota June unemployment rates released

Morrison County had a local unemployment rate of 4.8% in June according to numbers released by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. Here is how our other area counties fared: Aitken 5.4%, Benton at 4.5%, Cass 5.5%, Crow Wing 4.8%, Mille Lacs 5.5%, Todd 3.9%, Stearns 3.9%, Sherburne 4.1%, and Wadena county 5.8% unemployment. The city of St. Cloud was at 4.8% and Brainerd at 8.6% unemployment in June. The statewide unemployment rate in June was 3.9% and national rate at 5.5%.
