Crow Wing County deputies were kept busy over the weekend, a two vehicle accident with injuries Saturday occurred on County Road 3 and 19. Three children ages 5, 10 and 12 were taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. Both drivers were not seriously hurt. On Sunday there were two incidents on the water; a personal watercraft accident on Pelican Lake near Breezy Point where  44 year old Anita Messner of Hutchinson, was a passenger on the PWC being operated by 42 year old Heidi McRaith of Savage. Messner was holding onto a rope that was attached to the PWC when  she fell off.  Messner suffered injuries to several of her fingers. There was also an injury to a passenger on a pontoon on Whitefish Lake. 40 year old Katherine Young, of Shakopee, was a passenger on the pontoon being operated by 39 year old male David Young, also of Shakopee.  Katherine was pulling in a rope attached to a tube when the pontoon accelerated. The rope tightened around one of Katherine’s fingers causing her injury.
