The Minnesota Turkey Research and Promotion Council is currently seeking candidates for five positions on its board of directors for a three year term. Board members must be turkey industry representatives willing to serve as leaders and advocates for the Minnesota turkey industry and to work to improve its profitability and viability. To be considered, a person must share in the profits and risk of loss from producing turkeys during the current or preceding marketing year. This is a great opportunity to help direct the industry while broadening your knowledge through service. Directors are elected to a single three year term, and the board meets approximately eight times throughout the year. Interested candidates should contact the Turkey Research and Promotion Council offices at 763-682-2171. Nominations will close December 5, 2016. Elections will take place by mail ballot in January of 2017.
