The USDA says harvest lags behind normal in Minnesota. The latest crop progress report lists corn harvested for grain at 14 percent complete as of Sunday, nine days behind average and four days behind last year. Sixty-four percent of the soybean acres have been combined, two days slower than normal and six days off the 2015 pace. Dry edible bean harvest is nearing completion and more than 90 percent of the potato acreage is out. The sugar beet harvest is close to halfway done, and almost 40 percent of Minnesota’s sunflower acres has been harvested.
