Seven species of bees have been placed on the endangered species list. CNN reports that the bees, all native to Hawaii, were put on the list following research showing they’re under threat. Listing the bees on the Endangered Species List allows authorities to provide recovery programs and fund protection efforts. Bees pollinate plants that produce fruits, nuts and vegetables. The rule is effective at the end of this month.
