2016-12-14: EPA says unpublished Glyphosate data is key

EPA says unpublished Glyphosate data is key

Wednesday, December 14th 2016

The EPA made its case that the herbicide glyphosate does not cause cancer – on the first day of its Scientific Advisory Panel review on Tuesday. The agency did a systematic review of all glyphosate studies in 2015. The EPA says it has access to unpublished pesticide company data on glyphosate which the International Agency for Research on cancer does NOT.  I-ARC determined that glyphosate is a probable carcinogen but EPA pointed out that incorrect conclusion is based only on public literature. Today is the second day of the review process where public comment will be taken.
