Gary Fellows, Manager of the Technical Marketing Group with BASF tells Brownfield he expects to hear very soon that the Environmental Protection Agency has approved Engenia herbicide. “Engenia herbicide brings dicamba to dicamba-tolerant soybeans and is the most advanced and flexible dicamba formulation that BASF has ever developed,” said Fellows. He said Engenia is flexible, with a different loading formulation so growers use less of the product, and it can be used in almost every farming system. Fellows tells Brownfield that stewardship is important to BASF. Application stewardship is evidenced, Fellows explained, with the most definitive label that he has ever seen. The label explains to farmers exactly how to mix and spray and what nozzles to use as well as what it can be mixed with. BASF is also focused on weed control stewardship.  Fellows said, “Don’t just rely on Engenia, but use it as part of a weed control tool kit.”
