US ethanol production declines for the third week in a row

Friday, September 9th 2016

U.S. ethanol production declined for the third week in a row. The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production for the week September 2nd ending averaged 998,000 barrels per day, the lowest average in more than a month. That decrease in production was in response to a recent increase in inventory. Ethanol reserves were down on the week as retailers prepared for Labor Day, but remain near the late July highs at 20.624 million barrels.
