Fire crews from four agencies battled a grass fire south of Pillager on Sunday night from the warm and windy conditions. Pillager firefighters were joined by Camp Ripley along with DNR offices from Little Falls and Backus. The fire started around 9:00pm near Rosing Hill south of Pillager where four acres of the property were burned but no structures were damaged. It is believed the fire started from a dead tree that fell on a power line. There were no injuries.
