A pilot escaped injury Monday morning when his floatplane crashed on Mary Lake northeast of Emily in Crow Wing County. The pilot, 71-year old David Eide was coming from Buffalo in Wright County to a cabin on the lake when he crashed on landing and the plane flipped over into the water. The FAA has been called in to investigate the crash. Eide walked away with no apparent injuries.
