Little Falls family injured in crash on Highway 371 near Crow Wing State Park south of Brainerd

A family from Little Falls were injured in a two vehicle accident Saturday night around 11pm on Highway 371 near Crow Wing State Park south of Brainerd. 44-year-old John Barnes of Little Falls was south on 371 when a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Nathan Liter of Eden Valley turned in front of the Barnes vehicle striking it broadside.  Barnes, his wife Kimberly and their 4 children ranging from ages 3 to 13 were all injured and treated at an area hospital with injuries ruled non-life threatening. Liter was not hurt. One of his two passengers, 20-year-old McKayla Shockey of Eden Valley was transported to St. Cloud Hospital with serious injuries.
