Live Better Live Longer has been awarded a Catholic Health Initiatives Mission and Ministry Fund grant of $73,623 to support its Eat Smart Initiative. The purpose of Eat Smart is to work with local systems and resources to expand access to locally grown food to address food insecurity and health challenges due to poor nutrition. The Eat Smart project includes funds to purchase equipment for the demonstration kitchen at the SPROUT Market (food hub), which will allow program participants to receive immediate, on-site education when they arrive to pick up their CSA (Community Support Agriculture) shares of fruit and vegetables. For information about the LBLL Eat Smart project, please contact Kate Bjorge at 320-631-5675.
