Local unemployment rate dropped in Morrison County in August

The local unemployment rate dropped in Morrison County from 4.5% in July to 4.1% in August. It is also lower than August last year that was at 5.3%. Here is how other counties in central Minnesota fared for August unemployment rates: Aitken 4.6%, Benton 3.8%, Cass 5.2%, Crow Wing 4.2%, Mille Lacs 4.6%, Sherburne 3.5%, Stearns 3.3%, Todd 3.4% and Wadena county 4.9%. The Brainerd area was at 6.9% and the St. Cloud metropolitan area was at 3.8%.
