On Tuesday the Stearns County Sheriffs’ Office received several calls from people in Holdingford, Avon Township, and Brockway Township in reference to their mail boxes being left open and mail missing. Several of the callers had placed bills for mail carrier pick-up the following day, and the bills are missing from the mailbox before the carrier had arrived. Others had been expecting checks via US mail and suspect they may have received them recently. The Stearns County Sheriffs’ Office is urging anyone who has seen any suspicious persons or suspicious vehicles near mailboxes overnight from Monday to Tuesday to call the Sheriffs’ Office non-emergency phone number.
