Stearns County Deputies responded to a fatal car bicycle crash in St. Wendel Township Tuesday around 6:20pm. The accident was on county road 2. When authorities arrived they found an unresponsive male in the ditch on the east side of the road. Rescuers attempted to revive the male with CPR, but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead. Deputies identified the man as 51-year old John Girard Seiler of Sartell. Deputies believe that Seiler was riding his bicycle northbound on the east shoulder when he was struck by a vehicle driven by 73-year old Judy Ranson Post of Pasadena CA. Witnesses said that Post’s vehicle drifted onto the shoulder and struck Seiler on his bicycle. The crash remains under investigation.
