The Minnesota State Patrol reported Friday that DNA evidence from a July 18th fatal crash that killed 54-year-old Charles Maurer and 10 year old Cassie Maurer of Becker was actually 17 year old Carlee Rose Bollig who was driving and not her 18 year old boyfriend. This case has now been forwarded to the Sherburne County Attorney’s Office for review for criminal charges. The original report stated that 18 year old Deven Garlock was the driver and Garlock claimed he was not the driver in the vehicle. DNA evidence has now proven that it was Bollig. Garlock has denied to patrol officers that he was ever the driver. Eight people were injured in the accident, two proved fatal and two others were seriously injured from the accident in Sherburne County back on July 18th on Highway 10 at County Road 11.
