A Monticello man drowned in Lake Mitchell on Friday. 52-year old Paul Pohlkamp died after being discovered unresponsive around 4:35pm. Pohlkamp had been swimming and anchored around a friend’s boat in the lake. Pohlkamp was wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident. The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating.
