A 17-year-old from Little Falls was injured last night around 6:18pm in a two-vehicle accident near Princeton in Mille Lacs County. Colton Piekarski was attempting to pass a vehicle and collided with an eastbound vehicle on Highway 95 in Princeton Township. Both vehicles did attempt to avoid each other but still collided. Pierkarski and the three in the other vehicle from Princeton 67-year-old Vinette Menshek, 40-year-old Jody Kamann and an infant were all taken to the Fairview Medical Center in Princeton and treated for what the State Patrol deemed was non life threatening injuries.

The Waite Park Police Department is providing details on a potential murder-suicide that occurred on the 200 block of 10th Avenue North Saturday afternoon. Several agencies responded at about 2pm after gunshots were reported inside a home. When they arrived, two children had come out of the house unharmed, but two adults were found dead inside. Chief Anthony Reznicek says no shots were fired by any of the officers. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension’s forensic team is helping with the crime scene investigation. The identities of the victims will be released at a later time and there is no threat to the public.

Just days after the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office asked high schoolers to quit playing “Senior Assassin,” a serious injury happened during the game in Sauk Rapids. Police Chief Perry Beise says a 16-year-old from Rice was hospitalized Saturday when his friend accidentally ran him over with a vehicle. The incident happened at about 2:50 p.m. in the parking lot of South Side Park at 195 River Avenue South. The teenager was perched on the ground next to the vehicle he had arrived in when the driver got in and went to move it to a different spot. The driver did not know the other teen was so close. The boy was taken to CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital, and the injuries are serious but not believed to be life-threatening, but he will remain under observation for the time being. Sauk Rapids Police are asking teens to end the game. They say, at times, it verges towards being a criminal misdemeanor for disorderly conduct. Senior assassin is similar to a game of last man standing, where students try to avoid being ambushed with Nerf guns or super soakers until the end of the school year. Police had asked for those playing the game to not run from authorities if spotted with a toy or nerf gun, just explain your situation to them, running could end poorly for all involved.

Sherburne County has provided an update on the three-vehicle crash involving a Minnesota State Patrol trooper on Wednesday night. The series of accidents happened just after 9pm in Clear Lake Township. A 70-year-old man from St. Cloud was driving alone in a Ford Flex, going the wrong way on Highway 10. At the intersection with 70th Avenue, he cut over to the correct side of the highway. The Flex was t-boned by a GMC Sierra pickup truck as it tried to turn into the roadway. Three teenagers were in the truck, including a 17-year-old from Milaca behind the wheel. A trooper who lives in Clear Lake was called to respond to the wrong-way driver and didn’t realize an accident had occurred before it was too late. The Dodge Charger hit the Flex and Sierra. Investigators believe some of the people involved in the initial accident were standing on the road when the trooper collision occurred. A passenger in the Sierra and the trooper were treated at the hospital and released. The Flex driver was taken to CentraCare – St. Cloud Hospital. The other teenagers were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. One had life-threatening injuries. The Sheriff's Office is still investigating why the driver was in wrong lane. Alcohol reportedly was not involved.
