The Winter Storm Warning finally expired at 6am this morning. Still snowing in areas around central Minnesota. Yesterday heavy wet snow started afternoon and dropped 3-5 inches in areas very quickly. Plows are out this morning. Schools have opted to start 2 hours late for Little Falls, Pierz, Royalton, Upsala, Swanville, Pillager, Staples-Motley with other schools like Long Prairie-Grey Eagle and Browerville deciding to have another E-Learning day for students. The snow should end today, a reminder to watch for posted signs for snow removal in the days ahead around Little Falls and the surrounding area as now clean up starts. Also Career Force will open at 10am today.

Due to the snowy conditions yesterday there were many accidents on Minnesota roadways, one person was killed in an accident in Pine County still being investigated. Injury accidents were reported across Cass, Mille Lacs, Crow Wing and Benton County all afternoon. Three men are jailed after the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force executed a search warrant Tuesday in Waite Park. Officers went to the address on the 500 block of Division Street following an investigation into drugs and guns circulating around the area. Four people were found, and they took two of them into custody immediately, saying they were both found to be carrying firearms. The men, both 18 and from the Twin Cities, were not supposed to have guns due to prior convictions. A 19-year-old, also from the Twin Cities, had drugs in his possession. He was also arrested. The three were booked into the Stearns County jail, where they are awaiting formal charges. A fourth person at the scene was identified and released.

St. Cloud police are asking for the public’s help in finding the man who snuck into the women’s shower room at the YMCA. According to investigators, just before 11:00 a.m. on March 31st, police were called to the facility after staff was notified about the incident. They confronted the man, who was alone in a private stall adjacent to where a woman was showering. He had his phone out and was partially undressed. The suspect fled the scene and escaped before officers arrived. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6′, with an average build and dark hair. If anyone has any information about the suspect or knows where he may be, authorities say do not approach him and contact the St. Cloud Police Department at 320-251-1200 or 911 if it is an emergency. The YMCA sent out a letter to members informing them of the incident, saying it prioritizes the safety of members, guests and employees and is cooperating with the investigation.

An 8-year-old girl was injured Wednesday when the pickup truck she was riding in left Highway 10 West near Detroit Lakes and rolled down an embankment, according to the State Patrol. Nevaeh Moline, 8, of Brainerd was taken to Essentia Health St. Mary’s hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. The driver, Jennifer Lila Moline, 43, of Brainerd was not injured. Both were wearing seat restraints, and airbags deployed in the 2019 Dodge Ram. The pickup truck was westbound on Highway 10 when the driver lost control due to road conditions. The Dodge ran off the road on the right-hand side and rolled down an embankment, coming to rest on the driver's side. No alcohol was involved in the crash, which was reported just after 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, in snowy-icy conditions at mile marker 42 in Detroit Township, according to the State Patrol.

The City of Buckman Outdoor Warning Siren Testing will take place on Friday, April 4th. There will be testing of the City of Buckman outdoor warning sirens during Friday. This is only a test to ensure the siren is working properly. If this were a real event, please remember to take the following precautions for safety: Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris. ENTERTAINMENT NEWS Actor Val Kilmer has died at age 65. Kilmer started his career in 1984 in the comedy spoof Top Secret as singer Nick Rivers. The was Iceman in Top Gun, donned a cape as Batman in “Batman Forever” and portrayed Jim Morrison in “The Doors,”. He also appeared in major films as Doc Holiday in the 1993 movie Tombstone, Elvis's ghost in True Romance and appeared a bank robbing
demolition expert in the movie Heat with DeNiro and Pacino. He died from pneumonia at the age 65.

SPORTS Twins take two of 3 in Chicago with a 6-1 win yesterday over White Sox. The Twins have their home opener at Target Field today with many festivities planned including a flyover by military planes,  breakfast on the plaza this morning and many on hand for the start of the 2025 season. The game is Twins hosting Houston Astros today at 2:30pm on Q92 WYRQ. Gopher Women's Basketball team won the WBIT Tournament Championship last night 75-63 over Belmont in Indianapolis. The women finish at 25-11 this year in college basketball. Again the Little Falls vs. Hutchinson baseball game originally scheduled for today has been postponed as expected with the snowy weather, with a makeup date planned for May 15th at 5pm at Flyer Field. The game can be heard on AM960 KLTF on May 15th.
