--The Morrison County Fair runs through Saturday. Today is Motoring Day, with a classic car show from 2-7pm, smear tournament at 12:30 followed by bingo at 1pm, today and also Saturday, sheep to sweater demonstration at 9am, pig races sponsors by Little Falls Radio at 1pm and 4pm, balloon twisting/airbrush tattoos at 1pm and 4pm, live music, great food, many exhibits, white tiger display, midway of rides, Ag learning center and more, 4X4 truck pull at 7pm, Friday Night Lights barrel racing event at 7pm and Red Letter Band plays tonight at 7pm. Also Crescent City Amusements will have wristbands available today and tomorrow from 5-9pm for $20 at the fair, along with general admission for rides. Saturday is Kids Day with a bunch of kids events, Paw Patrol characters at noon, bike giveaway from the charmed ride in Little Falls, bike rodeo by LF Police, Home Depot Wood Workshop all beginning around noon. 500 Tournament at 12:30, Strider Toddler Racing at 2:00pm, milking contest and milk mustache Saturday afternoon around the livestock show, demolition derby at 3:00pm and German dancing and live music from Marshall Starr on Saturday with 4H Fashion Revue and Parade of Champions at 4pm. AM960 KLTF Party Line live at the fair today at 10am, then stick around for the Little Falls Radio Cash Cube from 2-4pm with many prizes to be given away in the cube. --The City of Brainerd continues today through Sunday with History week to showcase the city's history with a number of history walks, bike rides, hot rod and car show, bridge dedications, live music, food trucks, CLC has their 80th anniversary celebration today, pioneer days Saturday and Sunday east of Brianerd, historical presentation at the Crow Wing State Park Saturday. The weekend events wrap up Sunday at Lum Park for a history walk and the Ski Loons water ski show at Lum Park at 5:00pm.
--Tuesday is the deadline to file for City, School and Township candidates in the general election. As of Thursday according to the Secretary of State's website for filings in Morrison County- Little Falls Mayor, Greg Zylka and Robin Hensel, Council-Alderman at Large- Brad Hircock, Ward 1- Leif Hanson and Jamie Luberts, Ward 2- Wayne Liljegren, Ward 3- Jeremy Hanfler and James Storlie. Motley City Council Two-year Council seat: Pat O'Regan, Mayor Al Yoder. Pierz- Mayor- Dave Fischer, Council Lynn Egan. Royalton- Mayor Andrea Lauer, Swanville Mayor- Sandy Lange, Council- Jim Moliter, Debora Wood and Tony Maciej. Upsala Mayor- Rollie Johnson, council Donald Trettel. Little Falls School Board: Incumbents Mark Gerbi and Brad Laager both filed. Royalton School Board- Mary Lange, Upsala School Board- Ryan Thomas. The General Election will be Tuesday, November 6th. Tuesday is the primary election in Minnesota. Voters will decide on the top 2 candidates in races for Governor, U.S. Senate, some state representative and state senate races. Locally in Morrison County a primary is being held narrowing a field from four to two candidates in the Morrison County Auditor/Treasurer race. --The Pierz Dining Center (aka Pierz Senior Center) announced that they no longer will need reservations to eat the center during their weekly meals. For more information call Stella at 468-2160.
--The City of Upsala will celebrate its 100th anniversary of incorporation during Heritage Days. There is a concert tonight at 6:00pm, Saturday events include a 5K run at 8:00am, parade at 10:30am followed by family activities at the city park, including food, kids games a car show and more. The historic Borgstrom House will be open with the Upsala Area Historical Society sponsoring events. Saturday evening a DJ will offer dancing music, the Fire Department raffle and fireworks at dusk. Sunday a community worship service at the Upsala Area School at 10am and a Belgian waffle breakfast in the school cafeteria served from 9-12 all taking place in Upsala.
--A 37-year old St. Joseph man faces 10 counts of felony child pornography possession after investigators found approximately 90 videos of sexual assaults on children, including child pornography, on his laptop. Dale Benjamin was arrested at 6:10pm Wednesday and was being held in Stearns County Jail on $50,000 bail.
--A correctional officer at the St. Cloud prison was assaulted by an inmate Wednesday afternoon, and the prison remained in lockdown Thursday. The assault happened about 1:00pm Wednesday. The assault happened after the inmate was processed through intake and was taken to his living unit. The inmate elbowed a sergeant in the face, and other officers restrained the offender. The sergeant was taken to the hospital for further evaluation but the situation was quickly contained. A representative of the Minnesota Department of Corrections stated they any assault on a member of their staff extremely seriously and the department's highest priority is protecting the safety of their officers, staff and inmates. The incident is under investigation. No names have been released.

TWINS= back on Wednesday night, Miguel Sano homered to tie the game in the 9th but a walk off by the Indians in the bottom of the 9th gave the tribe a 5-2 walk off win. Polanco homered for the Twins Thursday only to again watch the Indians win with a walk off hit in the bottom of the 9th to win 5-4 to take 3 of 4 in the series. Twins are in Detroit tonight with pregame at 5:30, Saturday at 4:30 and Sunday Inside Twins begins at 11am all live on Q92 WYRQ.
