--100 people attended Ladies Night Out Little Falls Style yesterday. Congratulations to our grand prize winner Kathy Banick who won a $1,000 design your own diamond jewelery package at Melgram Jewelers from FM94. Our next Ladies Night Out will be in Pierz. The tentative date of that event is Thursday, March 22nd. Thank you to all our sponsors and attendees yesterday who made the event possible.

--The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office has received two reports of vehicle thefts in the last week, both from residences. A 1997 red Dodge extended cab pickup truck, MN LIC/029NLM was stolen between 10:00-11:40am on Tuesday from a residence in Culdrum Township, north of Swanville. The pickup truck has a small light bar on the front bumper and black rims with a CB radio inside. The pickup truck was left unlocked with the keys inside at the time of the theft. A 1992 two-tone (blue on top, silver on bottom) Chevy single cab pickup truck, MN LIC/457JRR was stolen sometime overnight last Friday from a residence off of Ginger Road, south of Highway 115 in Green Prairie Township. The pickup truck has a round amber emergency light on top of a silver topper. The silver paint on the truck is peeling; the wheel wells were freshly repaired and still have primer paint on them. The pickup truck was left unlocked with keys inside also. Sheriff Larsen encourages residents to remove all valuables, including keys, and keep your vehicle locked. Additionally, the Sheriff’s Office asks that you continue to report any suspicious activity. If you see a suspicious vehicle, attempt to get a license plate number so law enforcement can follow up with the registered owner. --The Morrison County Board of Commissioners will be holding a Public Hearing to take public comment on a proposed ordinance change to eliminate the requirement of closing the Soo Line Trail during the month of November. The public hearing will be held in the County Board Room at the Morrison County Government Center next week Thursday at 7:00pm.

--Firefighters from St. Cloud extinguished flames at an unoccupied building Wednesday afternoon. They were called to 19th 1/2 Avenue South near Highway 23 around 3:00pm and left after 3+ hours. Total cost of the damage is estimated at $2,000. There is evidence that people had recently been staying in the unoccupied business. No one was hurt in the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

--The teenager allegedly involved in a robbery earlier this week at Macy’s in Crossroads Center has been arrested. St. Cloud police officers found and arrested a 16-year-old boy from Coon Rapids Wednesday night. The boy found in St. Cloud was listed as a runaway and is facing robbery charges in Stearns County.

--Crow Wing County sheriff's deputies responded to a welfare check Tuesday afternoon and found a deceased Brainerd man. The body was found at a residence off Three Mile Road in Brainerd. The body was transported to Ramsey County for determining the proper cause of death and identification of the deceased. The sheriff's office said that foul play was not suspected.

--The 4th annual Kiwanis Trivia night was held last night. Around 10 teams competed and raised $4,200 to Great River Arts Children Programs. The Edward Jones Team took 1st Place, Tri City Paving was 2nd Place, and Little Falls Radio placed 3rd.

--A major remodeling project is underway at Coborn’s in Little Falls. Over the next few months during this remodeling project, Coborn’s will be making several cosmetic changes to the store, including: New paint and flooring; Integrating Ace Hardware and the grocery sections; Doubling the size of the floral area; Updating the deli and bakery departments; Liquor store remodel. In addition to these cosmetic changes, Coborn’s has, and will, be introducing a variety of new products and services to its Little Falls location. Some of these services include: Sushi bar in the deli; Smoked meats in the meat department; Expanded fresh options; Click and Collect pickup service. Coborn’s is also excited to announce it is adding a Caribou Coffee in store. Caribou Coffee is expected to open in mid December.

--The St. Paul Winter Carnival committee announced Wednesday that they have canceled the ice palace for 2018. The ice palace was to coincide with the Super Bowl played in Minneapolis next February. The committee said lack of funding and the fear of a repeat from 1992 when the Super Bowl was the Metrodome and the temperatures were in the 40s and 50s and the ice palace melted and sunk off of Harriett Island. The 2018 Winter Carnival is from January 25th through February 10th, Super Bowl is February 4th in Minneapolis.

--Weekend events include the Music of Patsy Cline performed tonight at Great River Arts, doors open at 6:30pm, a pasty meal tonight at the American Legion in Little Falls at 5:30pm put on by the American Legion Riders, Heartland Symphony performs Saturday at Sacred Heart Chapel at the convent Sunday in Brainerd, a steak and wine fundraiser for Holy Trinity School Saturday, meal is sold out but the live auction is open to all at 8:30pm at the Brickyard Bar. Act-toberfest to be performed by the St. Cloud Diocese 2pm Sunday at the Falls Ballroom, free admission. Meatball supper in Grey Eagle 4pm Saturday. Little Falls Senior Center anniversary breakfast and raffle Sunday 8-12 and Lastrup will hold their memorial Mass at 10:45am Sunday with a potluck to follow. Details at fallsradio.com.

--The Little Falls School Board meets Monday at 5pm at the Little Falls Community Middle School Media Center.
