–The latest on Mille Lacs Lake walleye fishing may have some early bird anglers getting to keep one walleye after all. There is a bill still a ways from being signed in the legislature that would allow anglers to keep one walleye over 28 inches until the state’s portion of the walleye quota for the year is reached. This would be different from the DNR regulations that no walleye could be kept this year. They also announced a week ago that live bait could be used on the lake instead of only artifical bait to catch the fish. The bill is in the debate stages but is possible to go to a vote by weeks end.
