--Congratulations to the Little Falls Flyers and Pierz Pioneer Baseball teams who both finished 3rd place at state on Friday. Mahtomedi defeated Little Falls 4-1 Friday afternoon in the state semi-finals in Class AAA then Little Falls rebounded to beat Benidle St. Margaret's in the 3rd place game 3-2. For Pierz after hours of rain and lightning delays Friday in St. Cloud, they lost 4-2 to Minnehaha Academy in the semi-finals then beat up Maple Lake 11-4 for 3rd place in Class AA. The four championships in baseball are today at Target Field.

--The Initiative Foundation's first and only president and CEO Kathy Gaalswyk announced Friday she'll be moving on to other pursuits. In her role, Gaalswyk has led the Foundation from its inception in 1986 and since then the Initiative Foundation has distributed $80 million in grants to nonprofits and loans to businesses, secured 13,000 jobs and has accumulated $61 million in assets. Conservatively, she estimates 8,500 people across the 14 counties it services work in their communities through various programs. Gaalswyk will stay on at the foundation until at least the end of the year. She hopes to help a new leader transition into the position.

--On June 15th the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force conducted a search warrant for controlled substances at 614 8th Street South in St. Cloud. Investigators learned that a package of controlled substance was to be delivered to the address and set up surveillance. Investigators observed the package get delivered and then conducted a search warrant at the residence. Commander Steve Soyka reports that during the course of the search, officers located controlled substances to include approximately 2 pounds of marijuana, 30 grams of marijuana wax, 5 grams of cocaine, and 11 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. $855.00 in U.S. Currency was also seized. The resident, 22-year old Brandon Koster of St. Cloud, was arrested and transported to the Stearns County Jail where he was booked on 5th degree possession charges. The Central MN Violent Offender Task Force was assisted by the St. Cloud Police Department patrol division. The task force is comprised of police officers from Sauk Rapids, St. Cloud, and Little Falls along with deputies from Morrison, Stearns, Todd, Benton, and Sherburne County.

--District 9B State Representative Ron Kresha of Little Falls is encouraging local officials and other broadband stakeholders to participate in a series of upcoming webinars and conference calls hosted by the Minnesota Office of Broadband Development. The informational sessions will detail changes made to the program during the 2016 legislative session, and will provide key details about the application process. Over the past two years, Rep. Kresha led the charge to approve historic investments in broadband funding totaling $45 million in funding over the next two years—more than double the amount approved in 2013-2014. When combined with federal and private funds, Minnesota is expected to see well over $100 million in broadband investment in the next year alone. Information presented will be the same across all four meetings. --St. Cloud Police Department and St. Cloud Fire Department responded to reports of bomb threats Saturday afternoon at St. Cloud Public Library and Cash Wise East. Both locations were checked, and nothing suspicious was found, according to police. Staffers decided to evacuate people from the buildings; after the checks, patrons were allowed to return inside both locations. Both incidents are believed to be a hoax and possibly related.

--Police say a man died Saturday in an ATV rollover crash in Kandiyohi County. Authorities say they were called to 240th Ave Northwest near 12th Street Northwest in Colfax Township around 3:00pm on a report of a man pinned beneath an ATV in a ditch. Emergency crews pronounced 56-year old Steven Strand of Belgrade dead at the scene. The incident is being investigated by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.

--Motorists who travel eastbound Highway 23 between Wilson Avenue SE and Lincoln Avenue SE will encounter delays as the road is reduced to a single lane from 7:00am to 3:00pm today through Wednesday. The road segment is located east of downtown St. Cloud, just east of the Highway 23 Mississippi River bridge. The work is part of a project is led by the city of St. Cloud.

--Authorities in northern Minnesota are asking for the public's help in locating a missing girl. 17-year old Jordan Krolak of Argyle was last seen in the Bemidji area on June 5th where she had been staying. Krolak is 5’5”, about 130 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black pants and a white shirt. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office at 218-745-5411.

--Motorists traveling Interstate 94 between Monticello and Fargo may see helicopters briefly hovering near the roadway beginning Wednesday while crews work on CapX2020 power lines over the interstate. The power line maintenance project is led by Great River Energy and will be complete by June 30th. Motorists traveling I-94 between Monticello and Fargo should keep their eyes on the road, watch ahead for slow traffic and be prepared to stop if necessary. LYNX= Lynx beat Seattle 98-84 to now go to 12-0 on the season.
NBA= Cleveland wins NBA Finals 93-89 in Game 7 over Golden State after trailing 3-1 in series. For Cavaliers first NBA Championship.
