NEWS
--A reminder if you still want to order a meal for Thanksgiving from the Little Falls Ministerial Association please call 320-348-0958 as soon as possible as they need a head count for pickup Wednesday afternoon 3-5 at Royal Cafe and 12:30-1:30 Thursday for delivery. --The Morrison County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously, Wednesday, to offer the position of Morrison County Administrator to Matthew LeBlanc. The position had been vacant since Deb Gruber resigned earlier this year and the search began in late July after her original announcement. Gruber had been Administrator since 2008. LeBlanc is a Morrison County native, and has returned home to raise his own family since retiring after 21 years of active service in the United States Army. He retired as a lieutenant colonel after holding every level of position, from entry to corporate level, either as a staff member, to the commander, or as a director within various institutional, operational and strategic environments, culminating with senior upper-level manager status in a dual role as a battalion commander and director of emergency management.

--The Little Falls School Board will meet today at 5pm at the Community Middle School media center. They will begin with a moment of silence to remember Jay Spillum longtime school board member and educator who passed away. They will get presentations from the FFA who returned from Nationals in Indiana and the Worlds Best Workforce Annual Report and update on the plans. There will be a recognition of Sharon Ballou as a Minnesota All-State School Board member. Approve the fiscal audit, the 2022 meeting schedule, the sign pay equity report, establishing combined polling places for 2022 and the latest COVID Information update will all be on the agenda.

--A reminder that 8th District Congressman Pete Stauber will be delivering books from the Library of Congress at 2pm today at the Carnegie Library in Little Falsl to the Morrison County United Way.

--A reminder from West Side Improvement Association if you would like to be part of the Santa Parade Friday at 6pm in Little Falls contact David Paul at West Side Improvement Association before tomorrow the 23rd or Mary at the Chamber at 320-632-5155. No Santa's on the floor as he comes in last on Friday for the Santa Parade. Little Falls Radio and Great River TV are working together that night to help in getting the word out that Santa Claus is back in town starting at 6pm on Lindbergh Drive South then east on Highway 27 (only the Eastbound lane closed to traffic) to Bank Square then left up to the Fire Hall to complete the parade on Friday.

--Fire destroyed a piece of heavy equipment and caused some damage to a Stearns County outbuilding Friday morning. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office got a report of a fire at around 8:45am in Albany Township. First Responders went to an address in the 25000 block of 350th Street to find a skid steer on fire inside the outbuilding. Authorities worked with the homeowner, 34-year-old Ross Klaphake, to use a tractor to pull the skid steer outside. The outbuilding sustained minimal damage, primarily to the underside of the roof, but the skid steer was heavily damaged. No one was hurt.

--The Little Falls Indoor Marching Band Concert (IMC) will be performed tonight and Tuesday at 7pm at the High School Auditorium, tickets will be sold at the door which open at 6:30pm.

--Pierz Healy High School is holding their Turkey Trot run on Thanksgiving morning at 8:30am/registration at 8am at MAC parking lot at the high school, $20 and it goes to Cross Country program.

--Last Thursday was Give to the Max with over 34-million dollars raised by charitable donors. The following are some Give to the max day local totals: 179 donors raised $32,504 for Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls, 13 donors raised $795 for Morrison County Historical Society, and 9 donors raised $790 for Pine Grove Zoo in Little Falls. 7 donors raised $700 for Linden Hill, 8 donors raised $625 for Hands of Hope Resource Center, 3 donors raised $250 for Sprout MN, 3 donors raised $100 for Kinship of Morrison County. Thanks to all who gave.

--Approximately 65 Soldiers from the Minnesota National Guard’s C Battery, 1st Battalion, 194th Field Artillery Regiment, celebrated their return to Minnesota yesterday in Alexandria. These Soldiers returned in late July 2021 after a nine-month deployment with personnel stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq in support of Operation Freedom Sentinel and Operation Inherent Resolve. The Soldiers provided security in support of critical military infrastructure and personnel during the operations overseas. The Alexandria-based unit has Soldiers from more than 60 Minnesota communities.

--Governor Tim Walz Friday announced that all fully-vaccinated Minnesota adults are now able to get COVID-19 booster shots, following an expansion of eligibility by federal public health officials. Expanded booster eligibility means more Minnesotans will be able to maximize their protection against COVID-19 during the current surge of cases. Beginning immediately, all Minnesotans 18 and older who finished their primary series of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least six months ago will be recommended and able to get their COVID-19 booster shot. All Minnesotans 18 and older who got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are recommended to get a booster shot at least 2 months after their initial vaccine.

NATIONAL NEWS
--18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges Friday after pleading self-defense in the Kenosha shootings where he killed two men during protests last summer. The jury deliberated for close to 3 1/2 days. Rittenhouse could have gotten life in prison if found guilty on the most serious of the charges if found guilty.

NFL= Vikings win it with a last second field goal to beat Aaron Rodger's 4 touchdown game yesterday 34-31, Vikings 5-5 and are at San Francisco Sunday at 3:05pm on AM960 KLTF.
