NEWS
--Heavy rains pounded Morrison County and central Minnesota on Wednesday dropping over 4 inches of rain at Little Falls Radio, and some areas over 5 inches of rainfall. Flooding of streets caused hydroplaning of vehicles last night in Little Falls and the surrounding areas. Some flooding still occurring in areas today. More rain is forecasted later today into tonight with heavy rain likely at times.

--Even with the heavy rains Wednesday, the Morrison County Fair still plans to open at 12pm today with opening ceremonies and military day. Show your Military ID and get free parking. Events today include the kickoff of lasertag, tuff truck tonight at 7pm, midway opens at 5pm with the 3-3-3 promotion for the food shelf tonight from 6-9 where it is 3 food shelf items for 3 armbands for 30 dollars. $500 cash drawing at 10pm tonight and you must be present to win. The fair runs through Sunday, get more details at fallsradio.com. --Around 5:20pm Tuesday the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office received a call that a stabbing victim was currently at St. Joseph’s E.R. Deputies learned that the stabbing had occurred at a residence on the 4000 block of Sweet Road in Brainerd and that the victim and suspect are brothers. The victim, a 27 year old male from Brainerd, was flown down to North Memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is currently recovering and listed in stable condition. Deputies located the suspect, a 23 year old male from Brainerd, and arrested him. He is currently being held in the Crow Wing County Jail awaiting arraignment for numerous charges including: Attempted 2nd degree murder, Attempted 1st degree Manslaughter and 1st degree Assault. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Brainerd and Baxter Police Departments.

--Tuesday was Primary Day in Minnesota. In the US 6th District House race Tom Emmer won the Republican primary while he will be challenged by David Snyder in the fall on the Democratic side of the ticket. Dave Hughes won the Republican primary in the 7th House District while Collin Peterson was unopposed on the Democratic ticket. In the US 8th House District there was no primary. In that district which includes Morrison County, incumbent Democrat Rick Nolan will be challenged by Republican Stewart Mills III. --A 32-year-old Brainerd man is facing felony stalking and burglary charges after breaking into a Brainerd apartment. Luke Wilson Ulm had his first appearance Monday in Crow Wing County District Court and was charged with felony first-degree burglary and two felony stalking charges of being in violation of a protection order. According to the probable cause statement filed in court, Brainerd police were called at 6:47pm Friday by a victim who stated Ulm had just broke into her Brainerd apartment. Officers were notified that Ulm had left the apartment on foot. The victim told police she came home and found Ulm on her couch. When she asked Ulm what he was doing there, he stated, "Don't call the cops," the complaint stated. Ulm admitted to the victim that he had crawled through the apartment. Police located Ulm and placed him under arrest. Ulm has prior convictions of interfering with an emergency telephone call, two domestic abuse order for protection violations all occuring in 2015.

--The Little Falls Police Department and the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 1:00pm Tuesday they received report from a caller stating a bear just charged at them while golfing near the 9th hole at the Little Falls Golf Course. The caller stated the bear left towards a residential area. Officers from the Little Falls Police Department and the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area. Officers observed several children in the area, playing in yards and walking on the sidewalks as well as several people golfing on the golf course. The bear was located in small patch of woods along the river, near hole 18, which is also a residential area. Several attempts were made to get the bear to leave with negative results. After consulting with the DNR it was determined that the bear needed to be dispatched because of the threat to public safety. According to the DNR, there were previous complaints regarding a bear hanging out in the same area.

--The St. Cloud Police Department is investigating a reported knife attack at Lake George. The victim is 20-year old Lexi Gibson of Shafer. Gibson released photos of her injuries on her Facebook page. According to the police statement, at 2:45am Tuesday, the St. Cloud Hospital made a mandated report that they were caring for a person who reported receiving injuries in a knife assault. Officers met with Gibson and saw that she had cuts to her face and arms, all of which required medical attention. Although the woman did not wish to make a police report, she initially indicated that an unknown white man had attacked her as she walked alone at Lake George. She said the attacker ran away, then two unknown white men driving a white car assisted her and took her to the emergency room. Officers went to Lake George but were unable to identify any witnesses or determine the location where the incident occurred. Officers were also not able to identify or locate the two men who took the woman to the hospital. The woman did not wish to provide any further information. St. Cloud police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call 320-251-1200 immediately. The department is specifically asking that the two white men who took the victim to the hospital contact police. More information will be released as it is received and as the investigation continues.

TWINS= Twins and Astros rained out last night, they will try to play two games today, 11:30am and 5:30pm games on Q92 WYRQ.
ALL= The Little Falls All Sports meeting is tonight at 7pm at the high school auditorium, all interested in joining LF athletics are to attend.
REGION 8C= Sobieski vs. Nisswa Saturday at 4pm in Freeport for the Region 8C Title- if Sobieski wins Game 1 a second game would follow shortly after. Hear the action live on AM960 KLTF.
