--The 8th Annual Randall Holly Day is today starting with Santa leaving Dr. S.G. Knight School on a firetruck at 3:00pm and going to the VFW in Randall for pictures along with Santa's workshop starting at 4:00pm. There will be horse drawn trolley rides, a large fire to warm up by and the Lights of Love tree at Bingo Park. Check out the events at the Randall Holly Day in Randall today.

--A St. Cloud man has been arrested in connection to three recent robberies. St. Cloud Police say they found and arrested 25-year old Ayub Mohamed in the 500 block of Highway 10 South at about 3:20am Tuesday. Mohamed was taken to the Benton County Jail without incident. Police say he is believed to be the man responsible for the robbery at Cash Wise east Monday, the Kwik Trip in East St. Cloud last Thursday, and the Kwik Trip in south St. Cloud on Sunday. Specific investigative efforts after the most recent robbery at Cash Wise led police to identify a suspect vehicle, and ultimately Mohamed. Formal charges are pending with the county attorney. --The Wright County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help in finding a missing Cokato man last seen Monday. 31-year-old Chase Swenson last had contact with his family Monday afternoon. He left his home on foot and is believed to be carrying two backpacks, a sleeping bag and homemade yellow/black plaid quilt with cancer ribbons on it. Authorities say Swenson may be heading toward Colorado. He does have health concerns. Swenson is described as 6'1", 290 pounds with blue eyes, dark blond hair with a beard and glasses. He also has a one-inch scar on his right forearm. He was last seen wearing brown welding pants, a black welding jacket with orange flames on it, winter boots and glasses. If you think you've seen him, you're asked to call the Wright County Sheriff's Office at 763-682-7600, or call 911.

--Two unbelted passengers were injured when a Dodge Caravan crashed into a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 371 and 50th Street, south of Brainerd in Crow Wing Township. The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash at 2:08pm when one vehicle was northbound on Highway 371 when it collided with the truck in the eastbound lane on 50th Street. Daniel E. Jillson, 35, Brainerd, and one of his three passengers—Alyssa T. Amundson, 21, Circle Pines were not injured. The other two passengers—Gregory A. Huggett, 42, Brainerd, and Calie F. Schweninger, 18, Motley suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. The other driver Elaine C. Holmes, 82, and her 50-year-old passenger, Thomas A. Holmes, both of Brainerd, were not injured.

--The cause of the deaths of two adults whose bodies were found November 27th at a residence southeast of McGregor in Spalding Township has been ruled a murder-suicide. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner identified the individuals as Laura Shingobe-Garbow, 62, and Matthew Garbow, 40, both of McGregor, mother and son. The manner and cause of death for Laura Shingobe-Garbow was determined to be homicide by blunt force trauma injuries to the head. The manner and cause of death for Matthew Garbow was determined to be suicide by multiple sharp force injuries.

--St. Francis Health and Wellness will have Saved by Strength, a free event from 11-3 on Saturday for those 16 and up to perform strength tasks. The center is located inside the St. Francis Convent.

--Crane Meadows National Wildlife Refuge will be hosting its annual Backyard Bird Feeder Day on Saturday this year. The event runs from 9:00 am to noon and will be held at the refuge headquarters in the heated shop. Due to a limited supply, family may be limited to one feeder. Event is free and open to the public. All materials will be provided. Feeders will be assembled with screws, so you are encouraged to bring a cordless drill with a philips head. Great family event. --A St. Cloud man survived after his three wheel ATV fell through the ice on Briggs Lake Monday. The Sherburne County Sheriff's Office says 54-year old Keith Sand was heading out to go ice fishing around 1:30pm when his machine broke through the ice. The sheriff's office says Sand was able to pull himself out of the water and back onto the ice. He was not hurt. A hovercraft was used to retrieve Sand's ice fishing equipment and his three wheeler.

--All lanes of Interstate 94 in Monticello are now open. The road was reduced to a single lane just after 9:00am Wednesday while crews wrapped up their 2018 work for the new Fallon Avenue bridge project in Monticello. The new Fallon Avenue bridge project constructed a new roadway with a bridge that spans I-94 and connects Fallon Avenue to Seventh Street in Monticello. The project also includes three new roundabouts plus additional sidewalk and trail connections. The project will decrease congestion, improve mobility and safety for motorists and pedestrians, and provide improved access to schools and businesses on the south side of I-94 in Monticello.

--Country Superstar Garth Brooks is coming back to Minnesota. U.S. Bank Stadium will host Brooks on May 4th, 2019. Tickets go on sale on December 14th. Brooks recently performed a large live concerts for CBS Television at Notre Dame University to kick off his stadium tour.

ST. NICHOLAS DAY HISTORY
--Today is the feast day (day of death) of St. Nicholas in 643AD. Nicholas was a Bishop in Ancient Greece during the Roman Empire known for being a wonder-worker for intercession miracles. His reputation of giving gifts and lessons of faithfulness created a figure in eastern Europe centuries later as Sinterklaas a man who gave gifts in the night for the children. Later known to all as Santa Claus.
