NEWS
--Good Luck to Little Falls and Pierz baseball today at the state tournament. Little Falls vs. Rocori 12:30pm on AM960 KLTF. Pierz vs. Paynesville Area at 5:30pm today on FM94 KFML. Pierz will have a send off on Highway 25 today at 2:15pm. Hear the games from the state tournament for both teams on Little Falls Radio and also online at the MSBN site through fallsradio.com.

--The Little Falls Fire Department responded to a grease fire at 5:16pm on Tuesday, at the residence of 915 11th Street SW. The home is owned by Christy Luberts. The grease fire on the stove in the kitchen was put out by the residents via fire extinguisher before the 20-Little Falls firefighters arrived on scene. Authorities ventilated the home before they cleared. No injuries reported.

--The Minnesota State Patrol and Aitkin County Sheriff's Office are investigating the death of an 85-year-old woman who was found dead near her mailbox June 10th. Margaret Ann Johnson was found on the shoulder of Minnesota Highway 47, approximately 3.5 miles east of Aitkin. Authorities believe a vehicle struck Johnson near the shoulder of the roadway, and that the driver may not have realized contact had occurred. Investigators are asking anyone who saw Johnson near her mailbox between noon and 1:00pm Friday to call the State Patrol or the Aitkin County Sheriff Office. Authorities do not believe this is related to an incident with similar circumstances that killed 10-year old Caylin Donovan of Lake Park in Aitken County Friday night.

--A 73-year-old Annandale woman was injured at about 6:45am Wednesday when a rear end collision pushed a car into oncoming traffic. Agnes M. Gunnerson was driving eastbound on Minnesota Highway 55 when a car crossed the center line and collided with her vehicle. 53-year old Daryl K. Carlson of Buffalo was driving west on Highway 55 just east of Maple Lake when he stopped and signaled to turn left into a gas station. 18-year old Eric L. Huotari of Delano also was traveling west. Huotari rear-ended Carlson's car and pushed it into the eastbound lane, where it collided with Gunnerson's car. Gunnerson was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

--Two people were arrested after a burglary in north St. Cloud last week. St. Cloud Police were responding to a burglary in progress in the 400 block of 32nd Avenue North on June 7th. Officers were able to identify two suspects and arrest them as they were leaving the scene. Police jailed 24-year-old Deronti Rogers Jr. of St. Cloud and a 14-year-old boy from St. Cloud. Rogers is expected to be charged with 2nd degree burglary, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and felon in possession of a BB Gun handgun. The teen is expected to be charged with 2nd degree burglary. No one was home at the time of the break-in and no one was hurt.

--Over the past month Pam’s Auto INC, 7505 Ridgewood Road St Joseph, Stearns County, has experienced some theft issues. Added security features captured several still images of suspects stealing tailgates. The photos have been posted on the Stearns County Sheriff's Office website. Please call the Stearns County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center at 320-251- 4240 if the person(s) in the photos can be identified. You can remain annonymous.

--A St. Cloud couple faces child endangerment charges after authorities say their young child tested positive for methamphetamine. St. Cloud Police began investigating the allegations at a home in the 400 block of 25th Avenue North in December. Court records show 40-year-old Jamie Wade and 51-year-old James Trebtoske took their seven-month-old daughter to St. Cloud Hospital November 11th because she had been crying uncontrollably for hours. The infant tested positive for meth while at the hospital and was taken into protective custody. The complaint shows Trebtoske told police that he and Wade used meth in the basement of the home November 11th and he was unsure where the child was at the time. Both Wade and Trebtoske have hearings scheduled for August 1st in Stearns County District Court.

--Shortly after 7:00pm on Tuesday a Crow Wing County Deputy was involved in a 1 vehicle rollover accident on Hwy #371 near St. Colombo Road. Crow Wing County Deputy Nathan Smolke was responding to a medical emergency call when his squad car which was traveling north on Hwy #371, hit an area of standing water in the roadway causing his squad to hydroplane and go into the east ditch and rollover. Deputy Smolke sustained minor injuries in the crash and was treated and released at St. Joseph’s Emergency Room.

--The Little Falls Dam Festival is Saturday with parade at 11am, music and events at Maple Island Park later that day with fireworks at dusk. Also the Falls Festival on Foot is on 1st Street near the park from 12-4 where no motorized vehicles will be allowed on the street during that time. NBA= Cleveland and Golden State in game 6 tonight, Warriors lead the series 3-2 and could wrap up second title in a row tonight.
MLB= Ichiro on Wednesday got two hits for Miami Marlins. Career wise now Ichiro has more professional hits than Pete Rose at 4,257. Ichiro has 2,977 in the U.S. and his rest in Japan before joining the major league in 2001. Though MLB still considers Rose the hit leader, the world of baseball now considers Ichiro their hit king.
