NEWS
--The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle rollover Sunday shortly before 4:00pm on 130th Avenue in Swan River Township south of Little Falls. 51-year old Michelle Holt of St. Cloud was traveling north on Great River Road when she misjudged the curve and overcorrected, causing her vehicle to roll. Holt was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

--Stearns County deputies responded to a motorcycle accident Saturday around 1:30pm on 1st Street in Le Sauk Township west of Sartell. A motorcycle driven by 54-year old August Fabel of Sartell started to slow or brake for a stop sign and hit a patch of sand skidding off the roadway. Fabel was thrown from the bike. Fabel was treated at the scene and taken to the hospital for unknown injuries.

--The driver of a semi-truck was hurt when the truck left Interstate 94 near Freeport Saturday morning in Stearns County. The State Patrol said 42-year-old James Buckland of Ohio was on the interstate after 7:30am when he veered off the road and struck the ditch. Buckland was taken to the Melrose hospital for treatment of injuries. Buckland's passenger in the semi-truck was not injured.

--Douglas County is searching for a misisng man by using boats and a helicopter. Authorities circled Lake Agnes in Alexandria on Sunday trying to locate 32-year old Ryan Johnson of Alexandria. Some personal items of Johnson were found along the shore of Lake Agnes on Sunday. Johnson was last seen about 11:00pm Thursday at a bar in Alexandria stating he was going for a walk. Family members reported him missing Saturday evening. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Water Rescue and Recovery Team was searching Lake Agnes on Sunday. A Life Link helicopter was called in late Sunday afternoon to search from the air. His clothes and items were found by the lake access east of the bar.

--Meeker County sheriff's deputies Monday were able to locate the Darwin man who went missing on Friday. 32-year old John Rassat was located Monday in safe condition. Authorities released no other details. He was reported missing after leaving his property Friday. Sheriff's deputies performed a ground search on Saturday. Searches were called off on Sunday. Rassat had made contact with his family Saturday, but his whereabouts remained unknown until Monday.

--The Minnesota Court of Appeals on Monday upheld the decision to grant a provisional discharge from the Minnesota Sex Offender Program to a former St. Cloud man who sexually abused children in Stearns County. The appellate court decision affirms a judicial appeals panel, which granted the discharge to 74-year old Eugene Phillip Kropp, who was committed as a sexually dangerous person and a sexual psychopathic personality in 1998. Kropp has been convicted in Sherburne, Anoka, Hennepin and Stearns counties for sexual abuse of minors, indecent exposure and possessing a pistol. Kropp in 2014 petitioned for a provisional discharge granted by a review board. Under Kropp's discharge plan, he is required to live in a location that has been "approved by the (sex offender program) executive director as providing reasonable protection for public safety."

--An 18-year-old from Alexandria was injured Saturday morning near Osakis in Todd County. The State Patrol said Carol Rylee was on Interstate 94 after 9:00am when her vehicle left the roadway, struck a road sign and rolled in the ditch. Rylee sustained minor injuries.

--A 16-year-old from Brainerd was injured when her vehicle collided with another on Highway 25 and Thiesse Road south of Brainerd. The accident happened Sunday around 11:30am when Brooke Alla and 62-year old Nicholas Lange of Hillman collided at the intersection. Alla was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with injuries. Lange was checked at the scene but not hospitalized.

--A motorcyclist 50-year old Lance Rubink from Brainerd was injured when his motorcycle hit a deer, causing him to leave the roadway. The incident was reported around 6:45am Saturday on Barbeau Road. The actual time of the crash is unknown, as Rubink had been lying in the ditch for an extended period of time before the crash was reported by a passerby. Rubink was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The extent of his injuries are unknown.

--Firefighters were called to a south side garage in St. Cloud after a fuel leak started a fire in the structure. Just before 8:00pm Saturday firefighters were called to 2421 Imperial Drive on reports of a fire in a garage. A motorcycle in the garage began leaking fuel, which was ignited by the hot motor of the motorcycle. Another motorcycle and car were in the garage at the time. The damage estimate for the contents of the garage is $20,000, and the damage to the building is estimated at $7,000. No one was injured.

--Two children are dead and another was in critical condition after a boat capsized on Clearwater Lake Friday afternoon. The Beltrami County Sheriff’s office received a report of capsized both with three children unaccounted for about 3:15pm Friday. The report indicated a father and three small children, ages 2, 6 and 8 years old, were in the boat when it capsized. The father then swam to shore and summoned help. Authorities removed the three children who were each taken to area hospitals. The 2 and 6 year olds died as a result while the 8 year old was listed in critical condition at the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. Their father was also taken to the hospital. It is believed that strong winds toppled the sailboat. Everyone was wearing their lifejackets but hypothermia set in before authorities could arrive to help.
