--Around 12:30am Sunday the Benton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the report of a man run over by a pickup truck in the parking lot of Rollie’s in Minden Township. 23-year old Benjamin Sterling Evenson of St. Cloud was found by authorities lying in the parking lot near a pickup owned by 49-year old Jeffrey D. Marsh of Cynthia, Kentucky. Marsh had entered his pickup after exiting the bar and began backing out of his parking spot when he noticed that the vehicle ran over something. Marsh stopped his vehicle to see what he ran over and found that he had backed over Evenson, who was unconscious near the rear passenger side tires when Marsh found him. Marsh immediately went into the bar to summon help and call 911. Medical personnel evaluated Evenson, who had since regained consciousness, for injuries. They were unable to find any indication of life threatening injuries for Evenson. Evenson refused further medical attention and was released to the custody of his friends on scene. Evidence suggested that Evenson was likely already on the ground at the time of the accident. Deputies determined that Marsh was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
