OTHER NEWS --Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen reports that on Monday afternoon they received a report of a hunting accident. They arrived shortly after 5:00pm on property near the intersection of Hawthorne Road and Jewel Road in Belle Prairie Township east of Little Falls. According to the Sheriff’s Office, 41 year old Terrence Brisk was found deceased in the woods from an apparent gunshot wound. Brisk was believed to be hunting as he was wearing blaze orange when he was found by a family member. Sheriff Larsen stated their office is actively investigating this case and anyone with information is asked to call the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office at (320) 632-9233.
--Wadena police have made an arrest in a possible homicide in Wadena. Around 2:30pm Monday police were told of a man later identified as Antonio St. Marie with a gun on Bryant Avenue in Southwest Wadena. When they arrived they saw the man fleeing the residence which later resulted in a pursuiit of a vehicle on Highway 29. The suspect's vehicle crashed into another vehicle on the Highway and St. Marie was taken into custody. Officers found a deceased woman in the home identified as 27-year old Margaret St. Marie of Wadena. The suspect remains in custody pending formal charges. This is an on-going investigation.
--A Stearns County judge convicted an Avon man of sexually abusing a woman familiar to him. 64-year old William Joseph Sullivan was charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct, accused of physically injuring her during sex that happened in his truck and in a St. Cloud apartment in late 2012. Sullivan opted to waive a jury trial and instead let Stearns County District Court Judge decide the case. The judge issued a written verdict finding Sullivan guilty of three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Sentencing was set for December 15th. Sullivan has been jailed in lieu of $400,000 bail since his arrest.
