One person died in a house fire Tuesday morning in Freeport. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and Freeport Fire Department responded at around 3:35am to a fire at 203 First Avenue South and found the home fully engulfed in flames. Authorities say three people were in the house when the fire started. Two escaped and were treated for smoke inhalation. A third person was found dead in the house. The names of the people involved are not being released until family is notified. The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
