The Paul Bunyan State Trail between Nisswa and Jenkins will remain open during the Highway 371 North realignment project, but trail users should be cautious near construction activity and check rail conditions before traveling. Construction crews will begin removing brush and trees at the end of January and work through the fall. No closures of the trails are expected this winter but trail users will encounter workers near the trail and users are also asked to watch for activity and proceed with caution. For information on the Paul Bunyan Trail or the 371 project go to MN Dot or MN DNR websites.
