Person killed in Tuesday Freeport house fire identified

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office has identified the person killed in a Freeport house fire early Tuesday morning as 50-year old Cecilia Chevalier-Larson of Freeport. The Sheriff’s Office and Freeport Fire Department responded at about 3:35am to a fire at 203 First Ave. S and found the home fully engulfed in flames. Three people were in the house when the fire started. 28-year old Dawn Belgarde and 36-year old Dusty Littledog both of Freeport escaped and were treated for smoke inhalation. Chevalier-Larson was found dead in the house. The state Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
