A man who admitted to brutally beating and killing his then-girlfriend’s dog has been sentenced to a year in prison. Anthony Sather, of Princeton, admitted to videotaping the entire ordeal as he beat, kicked and then shot a small Siberian husky mix named Draco. At a sentencing hearing on Monday, he was given one year behind bars and four years of supervised probation. Because of the time he’s already served, Sather will be out in about a month.
