A 66-year-old from Royalton was taken to the hospital after an accident Friday around 5:30 on Stearns County Road 1. Martha Loften of Royalton reportedly crossed over into the oncoming traffic lane. She corrected herself and then drove into the east ditch, striking a mailbox and a telephone utility box. Her vehicle came back onto the road and ultimately came to rest blocking both north and southbound lanes of traffic. Loften did not have any apparent injuries and was transported to the St Cloud Hospital evaluation. It appeared a medical issue contributed to cause of the crash.
