A sheriff says two bodies have been recovered from wreckage of a small plane that crashed in northern Washington state. The plane’s tail registration number matches that of an aircraft reported missing from Minnesota. A couple from Kabetogama, Minnesota, were reportedly aboard that plane, believed to have crashed Saturday. It was reported overdue on a flight to Orcas Island in Washington’s San Juan Islands near Bellingham. Search pilots spotted the wreckage earlier Wednesday on Twin Sisters Mountain about 10 miles east of Acme, Washington, in a remote, rugged area. The medical examiner has not confirmed the identities of the deceased.
