Two solar lamps installed Friday near Sartell City Hall were destroyed over the weekend. The Sartell Police Department posted on Facebook that the lamps were installed on a pedestrian path between City Hall and Bernick’s Arena. The public works department was testing them to decide whether to install lamps on pedestrian paths throughout the city. Police say somebody broke two lamps and took the solar housing from the top of the lamps late Friday night or early Saturday morning. The lamps cost $800.
