St. Cloud is getting tougher on intoxicated individuals who create a public disturbance. On Monday, the St. Cloud City Council approved making a violation of the disruptive intoxication ordinance a misdemeanor, making it subject to a criminal citation. Previously, violators would get an administrative citation. The council also approved expanding the ordinance to include any outdoor area, whether it’s public or private that the public has access to. The change would not apply to bars or private areas that the public doesn’t have access to.
