A St. Cloud man was arrested Wednesday night after fleeing the scene where a man was struck and killed on Minnesota Highway 23. 27-year old Jason Rau was booked at Benton County Jail. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, he was one of two drivers who struck 56-year-old James Olsen, of St. Cloud, at about 8:40pm. Olsen died at the scene. Rau and 51-year-old Mary Larcom, of Sartell, were each driving west on Highway 23 crossing 14th Avenue Southeast in St. Cloud. Authorities say they had a green light, and Olsen was walking across the highway against the light. Larcom hit Olsen first, and Rau then changed lanes to the right lane to pass her, hitting Olsen again. Rau fled the scene and was later arrested.
