St. Cloud police are asking for the public’s help in gathering information about a suspicious incident Friday. Police say a 9-year-old girl from St. Cloud was walking home from Madison Elementary School near 33rd Avenue and 10th Street North when a vehicle approached her. The girl told officers the driver of the vehicle asked her if she wanted candy and a ride. The girl ran toward her friends, and the vehicle drove away. Police say the car is described as old, rusty, and possibly gray. The driver is described as an adult with mohawk-style hair, and another man was also in the car. Police say they do not know the intent of the driver, and could not find any similar vehicles in the area. No other similar incidents have been reported. But extra patrols have been assigned to the area and school resource officers are working with school officials. Anyone with information is encouraged to call St. Cloud police.
