The St. Cloud Police Department is advising the public that any phone call received from the number 251-1200, which is the department’s non-emergency number, is likely a hoax. Police say several reports have been made to St. Cloud State University public safety about calls from that number, apparently targeting international students at St. Cloud State. That phone number is an incoming phone line only, and cannot be used to make outgoing calls. People should not give out personal or financial information to businesses or people making apparently random phone calls.
