District 9B State Representative Ron Kresha of Little Falls is leading an effort to bring broadband service to all of greater Minnesota. He says the legislature got off to a good start last year and will likely address the broadband expansion issue again in the 2016 session. Rep. Kresha says broadband is important to greater Minnesota in many ways, including classroom education, main street business and economic development, and agriculture. In the last legislative session $10 million was given in the first half of the bienneum at the statewide level but $80 million was also added by federal funds from Connect America.
